Depression and Addiction Treatment in Wisconsin
Those with depression often experience a loss of interest in life activities, feeling useless, hopeless, and pessimistic, irritability, trouble concentrating, and problems sleeping on a day-to-day basis. For someone suffering from depression, it can be extremely tempting to want to relieve these feelings through drugs and alcohol. However, using misusing substances in order to cope can create deeper depressive symptoms, and, if untreated for too long, can lead to more severe symptoms, such as suicidal ideation, reckless behavior, and delusions.

Customized and Holistic Dual-Diagnosis Treatment
If you are suffering with depression and addiction, you’ve come to the right place. WisHope Recovery offers a dual-diagnosis treatment program that is tailored for each person’s unique set of needs and circumstances. Our licensed professionals use only the latest evidence-based treatment practices that have been approved by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA).
It’s been reported that individuals who suffer from depression have approximately a 10 percent lifetime suicide risk. When combined with substance misuse, this risk increases to about 25 percent. This is why WRC is dedicated to ensuring every individual who comes through our door receives support to heal the whole person – their mind, body and their soul. We take a holistic approach to all that we do in order to help those we serve to heal and live a more satisfactory life.
Our Depression and Addiction Treatment Program - What to Expect
WRC’s dual-diagnosis treatment approach allows for clients to work closely with our licensed professionals to develop a customized treatment plan to determine what their path to recovery will look like. We take into account a person’s current level of anxiety, any other mental health issues, their history of drug and/or alcohol use, their supportive systems, and their personal commitment to living a life in long-term recovery. Participants will undergo a pre-screen to identify the severity of their addiction and mental health issues to see which type of treatment will work best.
Typically, our dual-diagnosis treatment programs are offered on an inpatient level for people who struggle with substance use and at least one other mental health condition or disorder. However, we do offer outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, extended care programs, and more. Our Dual Diagnosis treatment is built on an integrated approach, meaning our programs combine the use of multiple treatment services in order to treat the whole person, so the mind, the body, and the soul.
