MEET THE WISHOPE RECOVERY CENTER TEAM

Dr. Nezih Hasanoglu, Medical Director DO

Dr. Nezih Hasanoglu received his D.O. degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982. He has been practicing medicine for over thirty-five years, specializing in both family practice and in the field of addiction medicine. As a D.O. he takes a whole-person approach to the treatment of those suffering from addiction, focusing on listening and working with them to ensure that they get healthy and stay well. Dr. Hasanoglu speaks Turkish, English, and German. During his free time, he is an avid golfer and loves to read. His unique approach to the treatment of addiction has made him a valuable member of our team. Dr. Nezih Hasanoglu is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine and Board Certified in Addiction Medicine

Dr. Kevin Weidman, MD

Dr. Weidman received his MD degree from Mayo Medical School in 1979. He has been practicing medicine for over thirty-five years, and investing his energy in the field of addiction medicine is an act of passion. His personal journey brought him to a place of addiction, and alcohol dependence disorder and in need of help. Through his own recovery he was shown the value of giving back, and with decades of personal and professional experience we are grateful to have his wisdom with us.

Charlie Schrauth, Clinical Director, CSAC, ICS

Charlie graduated from the Kettle Moraine Hospital Chemical DependencyCounselor Training Program in 1981. He has worked in multiple levels of care, with both adults and adolescents. He brings his personal and professional experiences, along with his commitment and compassion in helping others who suffer with addiction. Charlie aspires to follow the path of the Peaceful Warrior. He believes we all have a story to tell that connects us and gives us strength to recover with endless rewards.

Dr. Sheila Gissibl, Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Sheila Gissibl is a graduate of Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology. She specializes in anxiety, addictions, depression and bipolar. In addition to being a prominent therapist, she also teaches at Mount Mary University. Dr. Gissibl is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. We are proud to have a partnership with Dr. Gissibl, and her practice Hope For a Better Tomorrow.

Peter Brunzelle, Director

Peter lives his passion of recovery, with a genuine, grateful spirit, and presence. He brings with him over 20 years of recovery experience to his role. As a natural entrepreneurial visionary and through many years of business’s development, he offers a unique understanding of recovery and best business practices.

Stephanie Tsoris, Licensed Professional Counselor

Stephanie Tsoris is a licensed master’s-level counselor at WisHope Recovery in Waukesha, WI. She specializes in the treatment of trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Stephanie has found the trauma-therapy technique of Brainspotting to be a highly effective treatment for substance abuse as well as other related issues such as anxiety, depression, body-image dissatisfaction, and chronic pain. It is a brain/body approach that utilizes current scientific knowledge in a caring, supportive, and non-judgmental place. Other tools she provides to empower clients in their own healing process are: mindfulness skills, breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, and guided imagery. Family therapy is also provided and highly encouraged. She is experienced in behavior change strategies such as: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Stephanie’s interests include spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, the arts, playing board games, meditative exercise, and traveling. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor (CYI) and a graduate of Lakeland University in Neenah, WI.

Carrie Boisvert, Administrator

Carrie’s own personal journey brought her to recovery over 15 years ago. Her experiences have helped her to turn her life around, return to school and received Degrees in Human Resources and Supervisory Management. She seeks everyday to “give back” with gratitude for the gifts that her own recovery has provided to her.
